Last year I kept a bible study journal and, so for as I stuck with it, found it to be a very valuable dicipline. If you're interested in doing the same I recommend you look at http://www.deliberatepeople.com/ as that is where I got my resources.
This year I am doing the same, although the idea has moved on slightly and now others in my church are also going to follow the same bible-reading plan and we are creating a joint journal which you can find at easterhousesalvationarmy.blogspot.com. This, however is my personal journal, and so there may be some overlap between the two.
When my journal starts I am sure that you will all understand that not everything will be appropriate to be place in even the semi-public domain of this space, and so there will be two sections: this one and a separate private section. Sorry - you won't be able to see that.
To catch up with any journal entries without having to wade through any general outpourings you will be able to simply click on the "dP journal" category in the left hand column, and in the exalted expectation that I will write entries that I think are more worthy of reading there wil also be a "dP journal highlights" category.
I'll also say this here so that I don't have to keep saying it elsewhere - unless otherwise indicated all scripture quotations are taken from the Holy Bible, New Living Translation. Used by permission of Tyndale House Publishers.
